Forskolin
Forskolin Supplement Review
How Forskolin Manages to Do So Much for Your Body & Brain
You may or may not have heard of Forskolin, but after reading this you'll be glad it exists.
Why?
Because this all-natural, plant-derived substance could make you leaner, smarter and more “cut” than you've ever been in your life.
Forskolin: What It Is and What It's Not
Forskolin is not a miracle, and it's not a fly-by-night product enjoying its 15 minutes of fame, In fact, it's been around for centuries and people all over the world have been enjoying its benefits for years, right under our noses.
So, it's nothing new.
However, it's only recently that scientists and doctors have discovered newer uses for Forskolin, those which affect the following activities:
- Fat-Burning
- Testosterone Boosting
- Brain-Enhancing
Before research on Forskolin revealed its effect on the body at the cellular level, it was known as a treatment for heart and respiratory disorders…like high blood pressure, angina and asthma.
Even western doctors recognize its possible usefulness in treating these serious disorders.
The Science Behind Why Forskolin Works
Powerful substances come from plants- and our Western scientific community has only scratched the surface of what the earth's plants can do for us. Lab research takes years, but we're already harnessing scientific evidence of Forskolin's effectiveness in helping people lose weight, build muscle and, surprisingly, boost their brain functioning processes.
But how can something that comes from Coleus Forskohlii, a member of the mint family, do so much? We're going to break it down for you here.
How Forskolin Does So Much: The Science Behind It All
First of all, it's important to know that Forskolin can only be found in the Coleus Forskohlii plant- it ‘s not a manufactured compound, it's not a chemical, and it's not a mixed-up cocktail containing a million ingredients.
Forskolin is a natural compound found only in this one particular plant. The plant is native to south Asia and is still harvested from that region of the world today. It acts on your body at the cellular level, meaning it can alter certain physiological functions like fat-burning, muscle-building, and even functions in the brain related to memory, learning, and more.
How does Forsloklin affect your cells?
- Forskolin activates something called adenylate cyclase, which is an enzyme naturally present in your body.
- Activating production of adenylate cyclase in turn activates something scientists like to call cAMP. cAMP stands for Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate, or Cyclic AMP.
- cAMP triggers the release of hormones (as well as more enzymes, and also triggers other biological activities.
- All this has enormous effect on your cells (in addition to systemic effects as well), and that's where the “magic” happens…
With the ability to affect cells, scientists have an entire world of influence opened up to them. It's now simply a matter of determining which cells are affected when a person takes Forskolin.
Forskolin for Weight Loss
As for weight loss, it's been shown in studies that Forskolin enhances the breakdown of fat in cells. Other weight-loss substances work on the same principle: they increase cAMP.
Ephedrine, epinephrine, adrenaline and finally caffeine all do this, only they have side effects which are not popular, to say the least. After all, they are stimulant drugs that can produce any or all of a long list of harmful side effects like rapid heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and seizures.
Not Forskolin!
The difference here is that Forskolin is all-natural and hasn't been shown to produce any harmful side effects, so as far as scientists and doctors can tell, it's a tremendous improvement over those other cAMP- increasers.
Forskolin does not affect the central nervous system, but it has a significant effect on increasing cAMP within fat cells- a wonderful combination that's not replicated in any other substance.
Clinical studiesĀ¹ to support the fat-burning properties of Forskolin have been published, with one showing overweight adults losing an average of 10 lbs in 8 weeks, along with an increase in their lean body mass.
Just what you want when you're trying to lose weight, actually!
Forskolin for Brain Enhancement
Drugs aren't just for tuning out any more, as college kids across the nation have discovered. Now we have what are called smart drugs, also called nootropics.
Forskolin is a nootropic that alters the supply of enzymes in cells of the brain, just as it does when it affects the fat-burning activities of cells.
Memory, learning and overall cognition improve, and motivation is said to improve as well.
People who need incredible levels of focus have found nootropics like Forskolin to be extremely helpful in accomplishing certain tasks, such as studying, writing, preparing for a meeting, getting lab done- whatever you may be doing where an alert, focused mind is required.
Forskolin for Bodybuilding
It's not exactly earth-shattering news that bodybuilders look to the supplement world to enhance their muscle-building efforts. But did you know that Forskolin is one of them? Not only that, but it's used by celebrities who need to muscle up for films…like Matthew Mcconaughey, for example.
His trainer had him taking 100 mg of Forskolin twice a day to get his amazing, stellar physique for the movie Magic Mike. Since he played the leader of an all-male revue, his body had to be perfect. If you need to confirm the successful results of this endeavor, just ask any female who's seen the movie…it worked, and McConaughey was ripped for the filming of that movie.
What Forskolin does for body builders is:
- Increase Their Bioavailable Free Testosterone
- Help Them Lose Body Fat
- Adds Bone Mass
This is based partly on the same study that looked at fat-burning in overweight malesĀ¹. Researchers noticed that testosterone levels went up after taking Forskolin, so now they know what bodybuilders have already discovered!
If you're a bodybuilder looking to create a stack with Forskolin, you can combine it with Yohimbine. If you're curious about what Matthew McConaughey used, it was a combination of Forskolin and 7-keto DHEA and D-aspartic acid.
The Bottom Line On Forskolin
Forskolin has been shown in scientific studies to be effective in the areas of fat-burning, testosterone boosting and mental acumen. There are no known side effects and even Matthew McConaughey used it to get ripped for a movie.
What's not to love about that?
